You Can Help Keep Tires Out of the Lackawanna River!
Our generous volunteers have helped us remove about 400 tires in and along the Lackawanna River.
We are now asking for donations for tire removal because transporting and properly recycling the tires comes at a cost. Dirty tires cost just about $5 each to have recycled at a regional recycling facility. Due to state regulations, tires can not be taken to local landfills. They need to be taken to
tire recycling facilities to be cut up, shredded, or recycled to help
make cement and asphalt.
For every $5 you donate, a tire that once polluted a habitat can be disposed of properly and kept out of the Lackawanna River and its watershed!
This is a constant blight within the Watershed. Please consider making a recurring
donation.
