Although the infamous LRCA ducks will race to the finish with a smaller cheering crowd this year, they can't wait to "float" on the Lackawanna River. The race will be aired live on our Facebook page on the 25th at a time to be announced. Follow us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/lrcaandlvc

Duck-A-Thon is a just-for-fun wooden duck race down the Lackawanna River. There are 10 wood-carved ducks that are given a unique number, 0 -9. All of the ducks are evenly spaced in a row and released to race at the same time. Whichever 3 ducks are carried by the current to the finish line the fastest win. This is where YOU come in!

We sell "duck tickets" which you can purchase on this page. If the last number on the ticket matches the ducks who get to the finish line first, you will have the opportunity to win a cash prize. We pull a lucky winner's name at random out of each of the winning three duck #'s entry boxes. If your name is chosen, we will contact you and you will win the corresponding cash prize. For example, if duck #7 comes in first we then randomly pull your name from the corresponding entry box, you will receive the top $500 cash prize.

The cash prizes include $500, $250, and $100. Respectively, 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. The winners will be chosen from the winning duck numbers entries and announced live online and at RiverFest 2021.

All COVID-19 precautions will be followed on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at the RiverFest celebration at Sweeney's Beach.
